Memories for the Making- Why Collect Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments?
Why do so many people Collect Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments year after year? Some moments just feel like magic.
We still remember the joy in the room as the baby took those first few steps. We can smell cookies baking in our childhood kitchen. And we’ll never forget the excitement of jumping out of bed and rushing to the tree on Christmas morning. Moments like these are the ones you want to hold onto forever—the memories our ornaments are created to keep.
“Part of why I love what I do so much is because every ornament we design is going to represent a moment in time for someone,” says Keepsake Editorial Director Lindsay Evans. “So, whether you got married this year or your kid is reallyinto Spider-Man, when you pull that ornament out of your storage box and hangit on your tree, it’s going to be attached to a memory and a moment in your life, every single year.”
Simone Mariano, a new Keepsake artist who joined the studio in 2024, says her work has opened her eyes to the ways people choose family heirlooms and preserve their memories. “I was at my first ornament signing event with another artist, Kristina Gaughran, when a collector brought in one of her ornaments from 1996 to have it signed. Just seeing that made me realize how special this is,” says Simone. “I think of that moment whenever I’m designing—someone could be showing this to me 20 years from now.”
Whether you’re starting a new tradition or you’ve been collecting ornaments fordecades, we’ve designed our 2025 collection to help you and your family capture all the moments that made this year feel like magic.
Thank you for letting us be part of your Christmas memories.
